Do you need a prescription for laughter? Then here comes the cure as the classic British comedy Doctor in the House hits the stage!
Follow the inexperienced young medical student Simon Sparrow beginning his five-year internship at St. Swithin's Teaching Hospital. Continually running afoul of the irascible head surgeon Sir Lancelot Spratt, Sparrow's social life is spiced up when he is taken under the wings of two student repeaters, in the form of Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans, to farcical consequences.

| Les Webb | Oh dear! Much as I rate Robert Powell, this was the most unfunny farce I have seen for 20 years. My wife even asked if we could leave in the interval and I mistakenly made her stay. How on Earth could they not raid all the very funny lines from the TV series or the book? It wasn't Powell or Pasquale's fault - the scriptwriters were just dreadful. I listened to other customers outside afterwards - saying "that was slightly disappointing" - now, there's an understatement. Save your money and watch Robert Powell on the TV instead. |
