| Cabe Franklin | Jamie Parker does well, but the Globe remains a largely touristic or anthropological/historical experience as opposed to a great theatregoing one. The acoustics, light, planes flying overhead, lack of amplification, wooden cramped seating, and so on do make it harder than usual to focus on what's happening on stage. That said, it is a great effort from all the actors, and an interesting experience to see what the work of projecting Shakespeare's words to a half-distracted crowd must have been like. |
