More than 100,000 people took to the streets in temperatures as low as -20C to protest against widespread fraud in recent parliamentary elections, and against the increasingly authoritarian government. On March 4, Russia will hold its next presidential elections, when Vladimir Putin will run for an unprecedented third term as President.
